Try winding about 20 - 30 times and then shack the watch, It should start running soon there after. If not, You want to send the watch back for possible repair. If you have a newer Daytona (116520)the sub seconds is at the 6 o'clock position, If it is an older Daytona ( 16520) sub seconds is at the 9 o'clock postion. Many quartz (i.e. battery powered) watches tick once per second, also there are "auto quartz" hybrid movements (Fortis Spacematic comes to mind) that appear to run like a regular auto.
