The XHP70.2 performs much better than all other tested LEDs here. The overcurrent capabilities are better and the light flux maximum is at over 20 amps – the maximum range of my power supply. I am looking for a driver to replace this one that is . How far would a wurkkos ts22 or similar 28mm edc tub light throw with xhp70.3 hi? I'm working on powering 20 of the Cree XHP 70.3 high output LEDs. I'm struggling to find an adequate DC-DC constant current driver with a high output. Does anyone have any suggestions for 12V 3.6A CC driver?
I purchased a pair of Cree 12v XHP70.2 LED's, modified the heatsink to mount them in behind the lenses, and wired them (in series) to the driver. However when powered up, the system does not illuminate the LED's. They very dimly flicker at about 20-30hz. Automotive voltage drivers are severely lacking out there, but depending on which die (forward voltage) arrangment xhp70 you go with, you may get away with an offering from taskLED. http://taskled.com/compare.shtml
